Faichney, Donald Alexander aka "The Kiltmeister" passed peacefully at his home in Port Hope on Friday March 13, 2015 at the age of 82. We shared our love, laughter, tears and music to help him on his way.

Although Don was an only child, he ended up having a large family consisting of his children Craig, Keith, Alexandra and James along with his stepchildren Gayle, Lynne, David and Dawn.
Don was also proud grandparent to Robert, Douglas, Kelly, Liza, Alison, Colin, Michael, Katie, Madeleine, Alexander, Christina, and Ryan.
Also a Great Grandpa to Brooke, Emily, Luca, Audrey & Taylor. He will be sadly missed by us all.
Along his path as a proud Ambassador of the BMWMOA he was grateful for the many friendships he made.

Julie and I became good friends with Don in 2002 prior to the rally in Trenton. It was always great sharing time with him at the National Rally, Board meetings, and the Finger Lakes Rally. We even got to review some potential rally sites together. Don is a dear friend we will miss but think of often.

Met him at the West Bend BMW Rally. Didn't know what to make of a guy in a skirt, but his friendly nature immediately disarms you and you end up glad you met him. RIP (Ride in Peace)!
Don is among the finest people I've ever met, he mentored me and we became dear friends. We share the same birthday and many other things in common beyond our mutual love of motorcycles. Don touched the lives of thousands of people and was welcomed with open arms everywhere. May the road rise to meet you laddie!
As Ian said, Don was one of the best. A fine man, a loving husband and family man, and a wonderful companion at BMW motorcycle rallies. His voice and his clothing choices were distinctive, and his friendship was extraordinary. One of the great ones has passed...
