Nothing is ever really lost, or can be lost,

No birth, identity, form—no object of the world.

Nor life, nor force, nor any visible thing;

Appearance must not foil, nor shifted sphere confuse thy brain.

Ample are time and space—ample the fields of Nature.

The body, sluggish, aged, cold—the embers left from earlier fires,

The light in the eye grown dim, shall duly flame again

-Walt Whitman

Brother of mine..... you always made people laugh, always lent a helping hand to those that needed it. You are definitely one of a kind. I will never forget our times growing up - you always included me with your friends and always told me “anything for my baby sister” . It was one of the last things that you had said to me actually. I’ll miss you ya big dork. I am rest easy knowing you are in Heaven. Love, your baby sis Chrisafilina !!

Childhood friends. School friends. Neighborhood friends. College friends. Work friends. Best friends. Boyfriends. Girlfriends. We work our entire lives building friendships. From preschool, where we all learn that "it takes a friend to make a friend," through adulthood, where we mingle at bars and water coolers, we crave closeness with other human beings. We just need to know that someone out there "gets us." Almost 50 years as friends, whistle with the Angel's John... "Dont tell me what to do" Our inside joke...

Can not still believe he is no longer here. Johnny was one of those people who make me laugh louder and smile larger. I was always surprised, though shouldn't have been, when I would see a text or hear a message from him saying Hi, Happy whatever, I was thinking of you. My condolences to everyone who loved him or laughed with him. He was one of a kind, in a good way.
