When we remember Grant, his stories, warm humour and generosity come to mind. In the 70’s Doreen and Grant welcomed us to CFB Lahr. Grant told of how after manoeuvres, he fell asleep under a tank, only to wake later to find that the whole army had moved on. Years later, Doreen and Grant welcomed us to Cannington, where Grant proudly displayed the impressive paintings he’d created. We were delighted when he gave us a charming northern landscape which now graces our cottage. Never discouraged by the vicissitudes of ill health, Grant radiated a droll charm that made those around him appreciate the goodness in life. Sadly the good soldier has moved on, leaving us with these rich memories. Our heartfelt condolences to Doreen, Rick, Lisa and their loved ones. Marion and Les Green
