Aunt Shirley, I will miss you SO much! I didn’t get to see you as often as I’d like, but my visits to Canada, as well as, your visits to Ohio left me with some amazing memories that I will treasure forever. Always made sure to bring us some Shreddies!! You had the kindest heart and soul, and I know you will forever watch over us. I’m so sorry for your loss and I’m praying for the entire family. I love you all!

I can’t begin to find the right words… the world is an emptier place without having Shirley in it. Having only 11 years between our ages, she always felt more like my big sister than my aunt. I’ll cherish the time we spent together, the laughs we shared, her always being there to listen and I’ll be forever saddened I can’t talk with her or see her or laugh with her - sitting at the kitchen table at 2am. To John, Aaron, Adam, Jenn - I can’t begin to imagine the void this has left - it’s seems empty to say, be thankful for the time we’ve had with her beautiful soul…. For selfish reasons, I wanted more, as I’m sure you all do as well. I’m sending love and positive vibes your way…. God, she’d be pi$$ed if she saw me crying while trying to write this :) I love you all and miss you dearly. Save me a seat up there Shirl. Love you.

We were shocked and saddened by the news of Shirley's sudden passing. She was such a kind, loving and compassionate soul. There was such a gentle strength about her. We had spoken several times recently about going to visit Shirley and John, to ask about adding one of her puppies to our family. We are so sorry that we never made it. John - you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers as you move through these difficult and dark days. Know how many people are thinking of you and wishing you healing through your happy memories.
