I'm very sorry to hear of Carl's passing. He was always such a cheerful, happy-go-lucky fellow. I remember Carl running races around Millbrook Public School building, him on crutches, and the rest f the guys on 2 good legs...and Carl winning every race. I'll never know how he didn't fall and knock himself into tomorrow! He was such a daredevil. He could also beat everyone at the high jump, but never officially competed...said the extra strength he'd developed in his leg made it unfair for the others. The 'others' all tried to persuade him that wasn't true...but he stuck to his guns. He was a true example of how to make the best of what life threw your way, and not wallow in self pity. He and Linda were so much in love; I guess they just couldn't stand to be apart from each other. I often think of them.
