KENNEDY; Deborah Loumae ~ Peacefully after a lengthy battle on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay at the age of 70.  Deb Kennedy was the beloved wife of Douglas M. Kennedy.  Loving mother of Jeremy and his wife Missy.  Loved grandmother of Max and Zoë. Dear sister of Vicki Small (David) and the late Corky Swartman (survived by Susan).

Dear Deb,

You fought so hard and for so long. Now you can rest and enjoy all the things you love in Heaven with the other angels that watch over us.

You will forever be the bravest and strongest woman I have known and how lucky for me that you were my Mother in law.

Although Covid stole some time away from being with you, we have so so many years of wonderful memories that we will forever talk about and cherish.

You loved people so genuinely and you made friends everywhere you went. Asking questions and getting to know your nurses and doctors for example, you were their favourite patient. The hospital staff would visit you even when they weren't "on shift", because you were just a pleasure to be around.

You made everyone feel special. You listened and remembered every detail of people's stories. You just loved getting to know everyone that crossed your path and the feeling was mutual.

You were so positive despite your body fighting one thing after another, after another...after another. Your strong spirit got you through so much in the last few years. You were so brave.

You had so many friends who loved you like family. You treated my niece and nephews like they were your own grandchildren. Zoë and Max were spoiled by your visits, always bringing them something special. You were the best at finding gifts for them, it's like you knew exactly what they wanted or needed. Your grandkids kept you going...I'm so honoured to have given you that gift, I know they meant everything to you.

You and Doug raised the most amazing person. Jer is simply the best. Thank you for giving me a partner that's as loyal as his father. Doug, your rock. Your constant. The man that has been by your side through all of it. We will take care of him just like he took care of you. Don't worry, these two men are strong too. They will be ok...but you know that.

We will miss you beyond words...but we all know you are happier now. ❤

Dear Doug, Jeremy, Missy, Max, Zoe and all of Deb's family, I have been at such a loss for words. I am truly saddened by Deb's passing and sending my deepest sympathy to you all. Deb and Norm hired me at Fleming College 37 years ago and she made such a huge impact on my life. She was supportive, caring, kind, funny and always welcoming at work, her home, the cottage, it didn't matter. When we discovered I lived a couple of doors down from her Mom and Aunt we always shared those stories. Upon her retirement I was thrilled to host a retirement get together. We were all so blessed to work with her. Her colleagues were her friends and part of her family. I will be thinking of you all. Take care of yourselves, Joy Cyr
