Dear Gerald, I hadn’t seen Marlene since we were kids in the late 60’s, playing on that slippery dance floor after dances and euchre parties at L.O.L. 41! Then in 2010 I met Marlene again at Springdale when my dad (Alton) was staying there. I’m so glad Marlene introduced herself - it was wonderful to see her again! Even though she was busy with her work there, I could see she was the same smiling, friendly girl I remembered. She was chatting with everyone, making their day just a little bit better. I feel for your sadness today, and I’m thinking of you. May wonderful memories of Marlene bring you comfort. Kathryn Clark (Menzies) Morden, Manitoba
