Dear Mina We have not met however I knew Jim from our many visits to Springdale to see my mother, Helen Knowlton. Jim and I often met in the lobby area. We had a little thing going, where I would stand erect and offer him a salute. He would would give me half a smile and salute back to me. A small thing but one that I remember fondly. I was saddened to hear of his passing. Julia and I send our condolences to you and your family .

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. My heart goes out to all the family. Jim & I grew up together, being the same age and have many good memories. It was good to learn more about Jim in later years when my husband Gene wrote of his work surveying for Strategic Metals of Montreal from 1953-1956 and how Jim was part of his team during that time. My daughter Shirley proudly hangs a horse collar on her wall that Jim shared with her from his dad's blacksmith shop. Trusting The Lord will comfort your hearts and also to give thanks for the many blessings He bestows through a life well lived. Aileen
