Jeannette Delina Victoria McGrail (nee Arbour)
McGRAIL; Jeannette (Nee Arbour) ~ It is with the greatest sadness we announce the passing of our mother Jeannette McGrail. Mom is predeceased by her husband of more than 45 years Joe McGrail (2008). Mom is survived by daughters, Emily, Monique (Keith MacKillop) and Deb (Lantz McLaren), 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, Jaye MacKillop (Liam and Catriona), Andy Heller & Stephanie, Natasha Heller, Chris Gillespie (Jaquelle and Seamus), Julie & Brad Harden, Shawna & Rob Whitaker (Edison and Nora), Rachel Heller (Willow and Caiden), Ben Heller & Jamie, Tyler McLaren & Hélène, Rebecca Heller & Diane, Joshua McLaren & Victoria (Sadie and Baby Boy). Mom taught the value of hard work and interest in family, animals, gardening and baking and leaves behind the Millbrook community that she and dad belonged to for more than 50 years. Our thanks to the kind and caring professionals at Rubidge Retirement Home. Words cannot express how thankful we are for the care you provided to our mother during her final years.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimers Society or the Peterborough Humane Society - Building Fund, would be appreciated. A private celebration of mom's life will be held once family can gather together again. Arrangements entrusted to the Fallis & Shields Funeral Home, Millbrook. Online donations or condolences may be made at www.fallis-shields.com

Our deepest condolences, Emily and Mark. I remember being very little, and going out to your mothers beautiful garden, Em... and how awestruck I was by how someone could grow something seemingly so magical.I remember thinking it was such a privilege to see it. I’m very thankful for that special little memory, and I’m sure in part it’s a reason why I love my vegetable garden so much, and have always been able to see the potential in a little bit of dirt and a few seeds. All my love to you in this very difficult time.
Emily, Mark, family and friends, losing a loved one is never easy, please accept my genuine condolences in this very difficult time. To my dearest friend Emily, I know that a loss of a Mother is a significant loss, may you find solace in the lovely memories you shared with your Mom.
I am so sad to hear about the passing of your Mother .I have such good memories of being at the house in Millbrook with You, Mark, the kids and your Mom. I watched as you and Mark renovated and worked so hard to make a beautiful home. We had wonderful chats on the back deck. I got to go down to the barn with you ,your Mom and Kyle, take pictures, then walk in the pastures and take photo's of the horses. Mark let us climb on the tractor and take silly pictures while everybody laughed at us......so much fun, great memories of you, Mark , Kyle , the Kids, and your Mom. I love you Emily and Mark.
My deepest sympathies and thoughts are with Emily and Mark and the children. I remember meeting Jeannette as a kid and thinking what a bright and happy energy she had. Her incredible smile and laugh were contagious and one that I won’t forget.
So sorry for your loss Emily and Mark. I know how much you did for her, how much you loved her. Thinking of you both.
