HUNT;  Marlene Alice ~ (Formerly of Cornwall area) ~ It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Marlene after a brief battle with cancer.  With her family by her side, friends, music, and celebration on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, at the age of 77.  Marlene Hunt (nee Lang) was the beloved wife for 49 years of the late Donald Hunt.  Much loved mother of Chris (Deysi), Rob (Melissa) and Jason.  Proud grandmother of Jordan and Sylvie.  Sister of the late Carol Lang (the late Lawrence McMillan).  Survived by brother in law Richard Hunt (Ruth), and sister in law Marge.  Marlene spent 40 years as a Registered Nurse in the maternity ward in the Peterborough Civic Hospital.  She will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Service Information

Memorial visitation will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, Ida, 1758 County Road #10, Cavan on Friday, April 6th, 2018 from 12 noon until the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the church hall. Marlene’s family would like to express their thanks to the staff at PRHC, Hospice and Palliative Care Unit for providing her with wonderful care and comfort in her final days. In memory of Marlene, donations to the Kidney Foundation or Hospice Peterborough would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Fallis & Shields Funeral Home, Millbrook.
