Nellie "Bonnie" Cool
On Friday May 8th, 2020 Nellie “Bonnie” Cool passed away peacefully at the age of 78. Born on September 20th, 1941 to Peter & Eva Borowetz, in Hubbard, Saskatchewan. She was a Loving mother to Kimberly Cool-Calhoun, & Darren Cool (Sonia). Beloved sister to late Steve Borowetz (Nydia), late Andy Borowetz (Lilith), late Mary Rawluk (Mike), late Nick Borowetz (Joan), late Mike Borowetz (Beatrice), Ann Boyaski (Stan), late Johnny Borowetz (Mary), late Olga Hodel (Harold). Ever loving “Nana” to Danielle Cushing (Curtis), Andrew Dimeck (Alicia), Noah & Nathan Cool. Great Nana to Chloe, Cameron, Darren, Lily, Lucas, Leah & Darius. Nellie was known for her infectious laugh and her ability to light up any room with her smile. She was kind and compassionate, and she treasured her family & close friends. She was a dedicated Sears employee for 25+ years and enjoyed baking for her grandchildren. Sadly, Nellie was diagnosed in 2013 with Alzheimer’s. Ironically several years prior to this she, along with her daughter Kimberly created, made and sold over 500 “Kacey Baby” dolls raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date with close relatives. The family is accepting donations in her name and honour to The Alzheimer’s Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Fallis & Shields Funeral Home, Millbrook. Online donations or condolences may be made at www.fallis-shields.com

Aunty Nellie will be sadly missed and never forgotten. One of my favourite memories of her was at Danielle and Curtis's Dominican wedding. Nellie, my son Justin, and I got together to take a photo of the Borowetz crew at the wedding. Everyone talks about her smile, and it was electric. I always remember when she and her family came to visit us in the summer, they were special times. Nellie was warm and welcoming. A special lady. ❤️
