Walter David Milne
Milne; Walter David ~ After a brief fight with cancer, Walter left this world on his own terms on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Devoted husband to Sandra, beloved Dad to Ruth, Ken, David, and Summer. Adored Grampa/Pappy to Alyssa, Arianna, Daniel, Bradley, Jessica and Adam. Best buddy to his four-legged friend Jesse. Walter was a gentle man with a huge heart that always reached out to others with a kind word, simple hug or an extra hand when anyone needed him. His family was his world and we all have many memories of stories, laughs and pearls of wisdom from a man who knew how to listen and saw the best in everyone.
At Walter’s request, there will be no service. Arrangements made by Fallis & Shields Funeral Home. Deepest gratitude to Dr Osborne, Dr Kassirer and nurse Erin. If anyone wishes to make a donation in his memory, Walter has requested it go to Bowmanville Hospital Foundation. Online donations and or condolences may be made at fallis-shields.com.
“There are some who bring a light so great to the world,
That even after they have gone, the light remains”
We would like to send our deepest sympathy to Ruth, Ken, David, Summer & families. Walter was a true gentleman and it was a honour to have known him. As I was once told remember the love the laughs and the memories that are personal to you and you alone. R.I.P Walter

May your many loving memories give you comfort now and in the days to come. In the words of Winnie the Pooh, " If there ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever." Walter and his memories will remain in your hearts always. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
With deep sadness I heard the news of Walters passing but with lovely memories of him as a great husband father and friend. Walter and Sandra will always be together in my memory I am sure they will be so happy to be together now. My condolences to Ruth Summer and David and their families and strength in this difficult time.
Dear Sandra and family, With deepest sympathy on the loss of a dear husband, father and grandfather. Sincerely, Phyllis Haines
