MARTIN, Bruce William
Oct 1954 – Aug 2025
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce William Martin on August 2, 2025, at the age of 70 after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s and dementia.
Bruce was a man of quiet strength, boundless patience, and deep kindness. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bruce’s greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife Sherrie, his children Michael, Trevor, Alicia, and Chad, and his cherished grandchildren Amara and Leeland, all of whom he loved deeply and supported endlessly.
Bruce’s passions were many — he was an avid sports fan, faithfully cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Steelers, Blue Jays and the Argo. He enjoyed collecting sports cards, attending card shows and expos, and never missed a chance to watch his granddaughter play hockey, always proud to be in the stands.
He will be remembered most for his selfless heart, caring nature, and thoughtful presence. Whether it was a family game night, a shared laugh over dinner, or quiet support during tough times, Bruce showed up — fully, humbly, and with love.
His absence leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but his memory will live on in the stories we share, the lessons he taught us, and the love he gave so freely.
As per Bruce’s wishes Cremation has taken place and private family service will be held in Oshawa, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any Parkinson Canada or Hope for Dementia.
