Kenneth Randy Dolley Obituary

Kenneth Randy Dolley passed away, with his children by his side, on March 22nd after a brief battle with an aggressive Cancer. Randy is pre-deceased by his father Kenneth John Dolley. He is survived by his mother Eleanor, his children Brittany (Nick) and Cody (Nikki) and his 4 cherished grandchildren- Grace, Brooke, Ellie and Kallen. He will be missed by his brother Brian, sister Tracy (Drew) and niece/nephews Adam, Josh, Hunter, Dylan, Drew and Trey, as well as many loyal friends and extended family members.

Randy lived on the family farm for most of his life. As a young man he liked fast cars, rock & roll music, baseball and being an outdoorsman. At 18 he started working at Cameco. In his late twenties he became a father to his two children, Brittany and Cody, quickly devoting his life to them. Randy was well known for being a proud and loving father, who often shared his pride to anyone who would listen. He was their biggest supporter.

Randy also took great pride in all of his belongings. Being sure to keep his truck in pristine condition at all times and his lawn well manicured. He was always grateful for what he had. Randy loved to tell his life stories and to share his knowledge about hunting, rodeo, history, the roaring 20’s, ballistics and especially NASCAR.  Most of Randy’s stories made his audience laugh.  Randy passed his love of the outdoors to his son at an early age. They spent many hours together sharing in that pastime. Randy cherished his many trips out west to see his daughter, making the Calgary Stampede an annual event for 12 years. He also looked forward to his many trips south to watch NASCAR with his friends.

In 2015 Randy retired from Cameco after almost 40 years there. He spent his retirement keeping busy with his many hobbies. Most of which including spending time with his son and best friend, Cody.

In recent years Randy also became a beloved Poppa to his 4 grandchildren, spending many happy days watching them play on the family farm.

His loss will be felt by so many. A love we can never replace. He will forever live on in our hearts.

As per Randy’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life at The Dolley Farm. 7759 Dale Road, Cobourg. On April 20th from 1-4pm.
