VAN DIE (nee Denike);  Dorella ~ It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of Dorella, at Hospice Peterborough on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the age of 67. Dorella was born in Campbellford, Ontario to Howard and Margaret Denike. Dorella was the beloved wife of Andy Van Die for 42 years.  Devoted and proud mother of Steve (Renessa) and Kim (Wes) Render and grandmother of Austin, Claire, Bay, Paul and future Baby Van Die.  Will be greatly missed by her brother Rick (Judy) and sister Suzanne. Sister in law of Marguerite, Peter (Carole) and Joanne (Bill) Brown. Dorella will be remembered by her nieces, nephews, family and many friends.  Dorella was a long time legal secretary at many Peterborough law offices. Special thanks to Dr. Christopher Blake, Dr. Brenda Tapp of Peterborough Centre of Naturopathic Medicine, the staff at PRHC Palliative care and Hospice Peterborough.

Service Information

Visitation and funeral service will be held at the Millbrook Christian Assembly Church, 71 King St. W., Millbrook, on Friday, by invitation only, due to COVID 19 restrictions. In Dorella’s memory, donations may be made to Hospice Peterborough, with appreciation from the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Fallis & Shields Funeral Home, Millbrook (705-932-5300).
