Gerry is predeceased by his parents Albert and Florence Pinsent, brothers Guy and Bruce and sister Elaine (Cherie). He is survived by sisters Jean (Fred) Sanger, Joyce (Angus) Elliott, Mildred (Keith) Johnson, Marilyn Pinsent and brother Lloyd Pinsent. I’m so sorry for your loss my heart goes out to your family. Gerry has been my friend for a very long time I will miss him terribly. He was a kind, gentle man and spoke of his family often over a nice glass of Scotch with 1 ice cube in a favourite glass

Gerry was a great friend of my family. I was lucky enough to be able to visit Newfoundland with my mom and Gerry showed us around his hometown. I will always look back on that trip fondly and remember how he graciously invited us into his home. Gerry will be missed greatly.

Please accept our condolences to you Gerald’s family. We don’t know any of you but Gerald was a school friend of mine in Buchans. His sister Joyce was my best friend forever, so I got to know Gerald quite well.. I didn’t know him as Gerry but it’s the same Gerald on this photo. Cherish all your memories and may God bless you all.

Brian , my sincere condolences on the passing of your father. Being so close to father's days day makes it no less easy. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Memories of great times with your dad will provide comfort as they have for me on my own father's passing. scott

I was saddened to read in today's paper about the passing of Gerald. I grew up in Buchans and remember him well and indeed all his family. The obituary described the person he was even as a young man. I have not seen Gerald since he left Buchans many years ago, but I want to extend my sincere condolences to all his family on the loss of such a special person. God bless you.

I was sorry to hear about Geralds passing. I remember him well from our early years in Buchans. Joyce was in my class at Buchans Public School.
