Velma Ruth Guthrie
GUTHRIE; Velma Ruth (nee White) ~ Peacefully on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre at the age of 89. Velma Guthrie was the beloved wife of the late Donald “Don” Guthrie. Special and loved friend of Paul Chopik. Loving mother of Allan (Evelyn), Ruth Guthrie (Bill Welbourne), Susan Chambers (Bernie), and Donna Hartwig (Carl). Loved grandmother of Steven, Lauren, Kaitlin, Jarrett, Mason, Kurtis, Julie, Bill and great grandmother of Logan, Kaydance, Brodie, Dawson, Hadley, Brynley and Elliot. Predeceased by her siblings Lloyd, Ronald, and Russell White. Velma will be lovingly remembered by Paul’s children and family, his grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Service Information
Due to COVID restrictions, a private family service will be held. Following cremation, a private family interment will be held at the Rosemount Memorial Gardens, Peterborough. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Velma, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Fallis & Shields Funeral Home, Millbrook.
